What in the world is a crizza, you might ask. It’s a colorful burst of nutrients artfully arranged on a slightly sweet pillowy crust. Or, to be more direct, it’s a lazy person’s pizza made from assorted veggies, low-fat cheeses and a pack of Crescent Rolls. For our math fans, that’s: Pizza + Crescent = Crizza!

This is a delicious, quick recipe for those times when you’re cleaning out your fridge, you feel too guilty to order a real pizza or you’re just looking for something different. And it can easily be made vegan by ensuring you buy vegan Crescent Rolls and substituting the mozzarella and feta for vegan cheeses.

Is it the healthiest meal in the world? Of course not. Is it healthier than a traditional pizza? Yes. That’s because we are using cheese with a lot less fat and we are adding a ton of vegetables and protein.

Instructions
  1. Grease a half-sheet pan and preheat oven to 375°.
  2. Chop all veggies, then mix in bowl with chickpeas, two cheeses, fresh dill, garlic powder, salt, pepper and pine nuts.
  3. Unroll Crescent Rolls without tearing along perforated edges. This will be your pizza dough, so shape it as you wish.
  4. Use a spoon to spread your topping mix on the crust. Top with oregano and drizzle with olive oil.
  5. Bake for about 15-17 minutes. Keep checking it and take it out when the crust begins to brown. We cut ours into six pieces.
